Sean is a Principal Consultant at Kestrel Partners and has more than 20 years of diverse, international business experience in finance, accounting, M&A, business process and system improvement, with both Fortune 500 companies and high growth startups.
Sean’s career started with a leading role in financial planning & analysis at Abbott Laboratories. This experience gave him a thorough knowledge of finance/accounting related business processes and systems. Later, he pivoted to post-merger integration at Cisco Systems and GE, managing large scale cross-border integration projects, either as a functional lead or IMO lead. These integrations include Cisco’s acquisitions of Webex and NDS, GE’s series of acquisitions into its GE digital platform and many other smaller deals. After becoming a management consultant, Sean has led a dozen M&A integration projects, for example the merger of Albertson with Safeway and the merger of Rudolph Technologies with Nanometrics, creating Onto Innovation. Sean also has led many complex projects such as ERP implementations and finance business process/system transformations for multiple large companies.
Sean holds a BS in management engineering from Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, an MBA from Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. Sean is PMP certified and a CPA (inactive).
