Bret is a Principal Consultant at Kestrel Partners, leveraging 20 years of international experience leading projects and programs at the executive level of Fortune 500 companies in the technology industry. He has managed numerous M&A, divestiture, strategic alliance, equity transactions and has run programs for investment and new business development in the fields of voice recognition, wireless, components, software and IT services. He is an expert manager of multi-national and cross-functional teams over the entire life cycle of corporate development projects.
Bret has held senior positions at Philips Electronics, Hewlett-Packard and start-up companies. While at Philips, he successfully executed the formation of a $150M joint venture in Asia between Philips and the leading Taiwanese wireless module supplier. At Hewlett-Packard, he managed M&A transactions and developed new processes and manuals for acquisition integration and divestitures for use in the corporate development department. Bret also worked on global service solutions for HP’s largest international customers while stationed in Europe and creation a revolutionary voice recognition solution for the logistics industry for a Belgian startup company in partnership with Oracle.
Bret holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Minnesota and an MBA from Stanford Business School.
