John Rutherford is a Principal Consultant at Kestrel Partners with more than 20 years of diverse, international business experience in project management, finance, accounting, and management consulting, spanning both start-ups and large corporations.
Most recently, John served as a consultant in the M&A Finance PMO group at Oracle, where he managed all aspects of M&A finance integration on five deals in a single year—including due diligence, systems and staff integration, and coordination with M&A leads across the organization.
Earlier in his career, John held financial management positions at OpenTV and Softbank. At PricewaterhouseCoopers, he was a Senior Consultant whose most significant engagement was overseeing the management of EuroDisney Paris. He led an on-site multinational team over two years, identifying and resolving organizational, systems, and cost exposure issues—helping the project open on schedule and within its $3 billion budget. He was subsequently hired by Disney to oversee the design phase of a second park, MGM Studios Paris.
John started his career at Deloitte, working in auditing in Newport Beach, CA and South Africa, where he achieved Audit Manager level before moving into management consulting and working on projects throughout southern Africa.
